The laundry is piling up, the dishes are stacked to the nines and I think the dog needs to be groomed. I have been in this house so long; I’m starting to get loopy! Cabin fever is hitting and, after the holidays, I have no energy left to plan a full vacation, pack and arrange a babysitter, dog sitter and house sitter for a week. But I need to get out of here before I completely lose it!

Oh thank goodness for Faunbrook Bed and Breakfast! It is just down the road on Rosedale Ave, in West Chester, PA. I can check-in minutes from my house and be treated to an on-site couples massage, transportation to town, spa packages, gift baskets, chocolates, champagne, …my cabin fever is melting away already.

I can spend the evening in downtown West Chester at my choice of dozens of fine restaurants and pubs, and curl up by the library fireplace with a glass of complimentary wine when I return or flip on the gas fireplace in my room and relax in the incredibly large soaking tub – with no laundry, dishes or dog staring me down.

Check-in on a weekday for two nights (Sunday through Thursday), January 9 through March 9, 2012 (REMEMBER, Valentine's Day is February 14th this year) and receive a bottle of wine, two Brandywine Valley Wine Trail Passports, and admission for two to Hagley Museum and Library to view the current Civil War exhibit "An Oath of Allegiance to the Republic: The du Ponts and the Civil War."
